I see adults 19 and older. I work with mild to severe problems. Working with clients who are diagnosed with acute psychiatric disorders (Major Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, etc.) is very rewarding for me. I feel that educating a client about their illness and how to recognize triggers and manage symptoms, empowers someone who feels victimized by their brain chemistry to not feel so overwhelmed and helpless. My nursing background has helped me to better understand chronic and acute medical disorders.

I use a patient centered holistic approach. I want my patients to be involved in their care. There are many different treatments including medications, different therapies, and non-medicinal treatment options. We will explore all those options and together we will come up with a plan that will best fit your needs at this time in your life. We will talk about long term outcomes and what research has shown for your projected treatment course. I will work with you to provide education and self empowerment so you feel like you have control of your illness, not the other way around.

I work with couples and individuals who struggle with a multitude of issues. Whether you’re experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, symptoms of past/present trauma, problems with addiction, life transitions, communication breakdowns, disconnection from self and others, or simply can’t find the words to explain how you feel, I am here to help. Too many of us suffer in silence when what we really need is human connection. Using a variety of treatment techniques including mindfulness and other evidence-based practices, I offer a collaborative therapeutic approach with the belief that my job is to help you feel safe, seen, heard, acknowledged, and validated. I have experience working in both Outpatient and Inpatient Substance Use; Outpatient and Inpatient Mental Health facilities; Nebraska State Correctional facilities; and with a wide variety of clientele to include college students, the LGBTQ+ community, BIPOC, and couples in varying stages of their relationships. I am also in the process of becoming a trained Gottman Couples Therapist.
