Dr. Ellis received his medical degree in ophthalmology from the University of North Carolina. Since 1998, he has performed over 60,000 LASIK procedures making him one of the most experienced LASIK surgeons in the Midwest. This level of experience enables him to customize your LASIK procedure to your unique needs. Dr. Ellis became a part of the LasikPlus organization in 2006. He has a longstanding interest in eye research and has published journal articles on corneal surgery and computerized corneal mapping. Dr. Ellis is currently a principal investigator in the American-European Congress of Ophthalmology (ACOS) studying the corneal cross-linking procedure for eye disorders such as keratoconus. He is a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has also been recognized by the “Guide to America’s Top Ophthalmologists” and has received the Physician’s Recognition Award by the American Medical Association.
