Dr. Alex Tharman, Optometrist, and Associates - Village Pointe is your neighborhood eye doctor located at 17255 Davenport St. Your Omaha eyecare center offers genuine eye care where your eye health and wellness is our primary focus. Annual eye exams are a recommended cornerstone for ensuring the health of your eyes. In addition to checking for changes in your vision and updating your prescription, we will also look at your overall eye health, internally and externally. Prevention and early detection are keys to maintaining healthy eyes, as some eye health issues have no immediate symptoms but can still cause damage if left untreated. Dr. Alex Tharman
Dr. Alex Tharman grew up in the small town of Long Island, Kansas and knew he was interested in eyes after beginning wearing glasses at about 1-and-a-half years old and having two eye surgeries to correct his lazy eye . Dr. Tharman is a member of the American and Nebraska Optometric Associations (AOA and NOA) and the Gas Permeable Lens Institute (GPLI). He enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses, offering myopia control options to his younger patients such as eye drops or contact lenses or orthokeratology, and managing ocular surface disease and dry eye. He is passionate about educating his patients and providing the best care for their ocular health and looks forward to building and strengthening relationships with the families and people of Omaha. When not in the office, you can find Dr. Tharman spending time with his high school sweetheart wife and their two amazing children. Dr. Jim Johnson
Dr. Jim Johnson is a native Nebraskan. His undergraduate degree is from UNL and his Doctorate of Optometry is from Southern College. He also has had additional training at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Corpus Christi, TX. Dr. Johnson is licensed in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic medications, and has been in optometric practice with Pearle Vision for over 30 years. Dr. Johnson's main practice emphasis is in family optometry and contact lenses.
