Dr. Jarryd Schieffer, Optometrist, and Associates - West Center is your neighborhood eye doctor located at 12330 K Plaza. Your Omaha eyecare center offers genuine eye care where your eye health and wellness is our primary focus. Annual eye exams are a recommended cornerstone for ensuring the health of your eyes. In addition to checking for changes in your vision and updating your prescription, we will also look at your overall eye health, internally and externally. Prevention and early detection are keys to maintaining healthy eyes, as some eye health issues have no immediate symptoms but can still cause damage if left untreated. That’s why regular check-ups are critical.

Dr. Jarryd Schieffer
Dr. Jarryd Schieffer is a Hartington, Nebraska native, and attended college at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended the Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio where he was awarded academic letters of excellence and graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. He participated in various organizations and was a multi-year class representative. Dr. Schieffer received his training at the VA hospital in the Orlando area as well as the Surgical Centers of South Florida in Miami, FL. Also, Dr. Schieffer served as a certified Adjunct Professor of the Rosenberg School of Optometry. He has been working in private practice in the Norfolk/Columbus area for the past 3 years. He and his wife Christa have two children, Amelia, and Eddie. In his free time, Dr. Schieffer enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, basketball, and being outdoors.
