Prairie Lane Veterinary Hospital is here to treat the dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, pocket pets, amphibians, and reptiles of Omaha, NE, and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on being a Fear-Free Certified and Cat-Friendly Practices® accredited hospital, and train our staff to use low-stress techniques. We are open six days a week with select Saturdays by appointment. Our services include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, microchipping, nutrition and weight management, behavioral counseling, euthanasia, X-rays, in-house laboratory, parasite testing and prevention, dental, surgery including spay and neuter, pain management, urgent pet care, and more.   • David Eaton

    DVM

    Dr. David Eaton is an Associate Veterinarian at Prairie Lane Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Eaton has been helping clients keep their pets healthy since he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1990 from Iowa State University. His areas of professional interest include veterinary orthopedics and general surgery. Dr. Eaton grew up in Sidney, Iowa, and currently lives in Lewis, Iowa with his wife, and black lab, Onyx; who can catch frisbees and is an accomplished water fowl! In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his two sons, hunting, fishing, welding, and woodworking. A fun fact about Dr. Eaton is that he loves to cook, and his favorite foods are spicy Thai and Barbecue.

  • Molly McWilliams

    DVM, MS, CWR, & Medical Director

    ​Dr. Molly McWilliams, DVM, MS, CWR, is a Veterinarian at Prairie Lane Animal Hospital. She graduated from Iowa State University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, and also has a Masters in Biology from UNO. Dr. McWilliams is certified in wildlife rehabilitation, and her areas of professional interest include exotics, ophthalmology, and surgery. After working in wildlife rehabilitation, she decided to go back to school to become a veterinarian in order to provide the best care and medicine to all types of animals. Dr. McWilliams says the best part about working in the veterinary field is seeing a sick patient recover and forming bonds with clients. Originally from Springfield, NE, she currently lives in Louisville, NE with her husband, and “mini zoo” which includes three dogs, one cat, one ferret, multiple reptiles including a Red Footed Tortoise, Blue Tongue Skink, Leopard Gecko, Corn Snake, Savannah Monitor, and lastly a Quaker Parrott! When she is not tending to animals, she enjoys hiking, wildlife photography, traveling, and working on projects with her husband. A fun fact about Dr. McWilliams is that she recently learned aerial fitness, including aerial hammock, static trapeze, and lyra. Dr. McWilliams’ passion for wildlife also extends to volunteering with Nebraska’s Wildlife Rehab for the last ten years, where she cares for injured and orphaned wildlife, especially racoons.

  • Celene Oglesbee

    DVM

    Dr. Celene Oglesbee is an Associate Veterinarian with Prairie Lane Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Oglesbee received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 from Iowa State University. She is Fear Free Certified, Feline Friendly Certified, and she has a professional interest in cats and cardiology. Dr. Oglesbee was inspired to work in veterinary medicine from her love of science. She has a passion for helping strengthen and maintain the human-animal bond. Dr. Oglesbee moved from Des Moines to Omaha, Nebraska with her husband Luke and three crazy cats. In her free time outside of work, Dr. Oglesbee enjoys photography, travel, art, and swing dancing with her husband. She believes it is important to explore these different creative outlets outside of work!
