  • Intensive Outpatient Program

Once patients have completed PHP, they step down to IOP. At this stage in recovery, patients are ready to transition to some eating on their own and having time away from the center. The patient and treatment team decide on a schedule that varies up to 6 hours a day, 7 days a week. IOP schedules vary according to patient needs. from seven days a week to three days a week and includes one meal and snack at the center. An average day is about four hours. During IOP, patients begin planning how to manage their life once they leave treatment.

  • Evening Intensive Outpatient

At Eating Disorder Care of Lincoln we have an Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (EIOP) for patients who are diagnosed with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating or other disorders and require more than outpatient therapy to treat their disorder. This is a 'transitional' level, with therapy four nights a week, Monday through Thursday, (including meals) for 4 ½ hours an evening. Patients are encouraged to continue real-life responsibilities, including school and work, while also applying skills from treatment to everyday life challenges, such as grocery shopping, clothes shopping and meal preparation.
